Engine and Performance
A 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve Dual VVT-i V6 engine that pumps out 268 hp @ 6200 rpm and 248 lb- ft. @ 4700 rpm with a 6-speed electronically controlled automatic overdrive transmission with intelligence (ECT-i) and sequential shift is standard across all trims.
McPherson strut front suspension with offset coil springs and stabilizer bar; dual-link independent McPherson strut rear suspension with offset coil springs and stabilizer bar; power-assisted anti-lock brake system (ABS) with 11.7-in. front ventilated disc brakes and 11.1-in. rear solid disc brakes and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD); vehicle stability control (VSC) with traction control (TRAC) and brake assist; and engine speed-sensing variable-assist power rack-and-pinion steering are some of the other standard features.
Body and Styling
The XL trim comes well-equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, and a six-disc CD changer. The XLS trim has 17-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, and a power moonroof. The top-line Limited trims are fitted with heated/ventilated front seats and an upgraded audio system. The cargo capacity is estimated at 14.4 cubic feet
Voice-activated DVD navigation system with JBL® Synthesis AM/FM 6-disc in-dash CD changer with MP3/WMA playback capability, satellite radio-enabled, auxiliary audio jack, hands-free phone capability via Bluetooth® wireless technology, 360 watts (maximum output) with 12 speakers including subwoofer, in-glass antenna, and FM diversity reception is optional on XLS and Limited trims. However, AM/FM 6-disc in-dash CD changer with satellite radio capability, MP3/WMA playback capability, auxiliary audio jack, nine speakers, in-glass antenna and FM diversity reception is standard on the XL and XLS trims.
Contoured fabric 60/40 split manually reclining rear seats with separate headrests, center armrest with cup holders, and locking trunk pass-through is standard on XL trim while the leather-trimmed 60/40 split manually reclining rear seats with separate headrests, center armrest with cup holders, and locking trunk pass-through is standard on the XLS and Limited.
Safety Features
Anti-lock disc brakes, front side-impact airbags, a driver's side knee airbag and overhead curtain airbags for front and rear occupants are among the standard safety equipment in all trims. Active front head restraints, vehicle stability and traction control systems, and brake assist are also standard.
